Paul V. Ward, 78, of Westerville, passed away January 19, 2022. Paul was born March 23, 1943 in Columbus, OH to Paul and Thelma (Vincent) Ward.
He was an amazing saxophone player and played professionally from 1962 to 1969. Paul continued to play on the weekends with other bands until 1996 and with the church for over 20 years at Westerville Alliance. He worked at Franklin County Engineers office from 1971 until his retirement in 2003.
Paul will be deeply missed by his wife Beverly (Perry) of 56 years; children Tracy Chavis, Mark Ward; grandchildren Brittany (Chaz) Turner, Joseph Shilling, Rachel Shilling, Kevin Chavis; brother Jerry Ward; sister Carol along with many other family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lisa Shilling, brother Kenneth Ward and sister Kathy Ward.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 11am until the time of service at 12pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus.
Burial will be at Blendon Central Cemetery.
