He left his earthly home for a better one on Tuesday, August 30th. Always a generous man willing to share everything with others, he donated his body to OSU Medical School. He left the grocery business on December 8th, 1943 when he was appointed to the Columbus Fire Department from which he retired after 25 years of service. When not working as a firefighter and dispatcher, Paul had his own construction business, building and remodeling homes, businesses and garages. He enjoyed his work and had fun piloting planes, riding in hot air balloons, boating, fishing and playing with his children. He was preceded in death by his parents Layson and Agnes (Routt) White, brothers Donald, Wilbert, Robert, Layson Jr.; sisters Juanita, Marcella, and Mary Josephine; twin daughters Mary Lou and Betty Lou, daughter Theresa Agnes; grandson Tony Rathburn.
