Peggy L. Dixon, of Columbus, OH, died October 22, 2009 at 2 PM. She died a peaceful death at home with her family. She was born in Circleville, OH on November 19, 1927 and adopted by Lester and Ethyl Harris of Circleville, OH. Peggy spent most of her life working for the government and was a very intuitive and intelligent woman. She retired from the government in 1984 and then worked for J.C. Penney where she enjoyed a breakfast and dinner club with friends. Peggy had an outgoing personality; she was a real Samaritan and very generous. She belonged to a Pokeno and travel club. Peggy was an avid sports fan. She is survived by her daughters, Celestine Johns and Leslie (Daniel, whom she loved) Lee; granddaughters, Dionna and Kimberly (Calvin); grandsons, Dubois II, Keith, Kris and Kevan; great-granddaughters, Desiree, Kennedy and Kaysia; great-grandsons, Kylan, Kaelan, Kyle, Kwincy, Lamar and Dubois III; brothers, Gary (Sharon) Cooper and Krystal (Juanita) Cooper and sister, Nancy Connelly. Funeral Service Monday, October 26, 2009 at 7 PM with visitation starting at 5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH.
