Peter Leddy Clary, DVM, age 78, of Oak Hill, OH, passed away May 25, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center.
He was born on October 19, 1934 in Providence, RI, to the late Harold and Hazel Clary. He attended high school at Kennewick and graduated in 1953. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree at Seattle University and then attained his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 1961. He worked at Battelle in Richland, WA and later at The Ohio State University Lab Animal Center (LAC).
Pete is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou of 34 years. They were married in Idaho on January 5, 1979. He is also survived by his brother Paul (Carol) Clary; sisters, Joan Clary and Lois Bishop; sons, David (Christina), Jeffrey (Theresa), and Douglas (Shirley); step-sons, Greg (Karen) and Gary (Julie); step-daughters, Gail, Gina, and Geri (Greg); 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, OH.
