Philip F. Farone, 70, of Weirton, West Virginia went home to be with his Lord peacefully on December 8th, 2020 with his wife by his side. Born on January 27, 1950 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Philip and Angelina Yacobony Farone. On September 18, 1971 Philip married his loving wife of forty-nine years, the former Jacqueline Aquaro. She survives at home.
Phil had worked as a Supervisor for Wheeling/Pittsburgh Steel. He had led his team to a 1st place win in the Northwest OSHA contest. He had traveled to many cities to speak on the subject. Phil was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing on the Allegheny River and hunting at his beloved camp of thirty-eight years in Wattersonville, Pennsylvania. He took pride in teaching his girls how to waterski and relax on his pontoon boat. He was a former member of Mahoning Sportsman's Club, Bessemer Rod and Gun Club and the Brooke County Sportsman's Club. He took many hunting trips to Canada, and had won a trip to Texas to hunt mule deer. He enjoyed having Sunday dinner at his in-laws, Joe and Ada Aquaro as he thought of them as his second parents. A devoted and loving husband and father, Phil was so proud of his daughters and their accomplishments. He loved his son-in-laws like sons. As a grandfather, Phil adored his grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time with them.
In addition to his wife, Phil is survived by his two daughters, Nicole (Andrew) Bricker of Powell, Ohio and Abbie (Shamus) Cassady of Powell, Ohio, his grandchildren, Dominic and Elodie Bricker, two brothers, Nick Farone and his companion, Vicky Burchett, Patrick (Char) Farone, his brother and sister-in-law, David and Sandra Aquaro, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent and Raymond Farone.
A Private Service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in Castleview Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers his family asks that donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
