Philip Young Sr., 73, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 31, 1934, in Matewan, W.Va., son of the late Oakey Young and Marguerite Webb Price. In addition to his parents, Philip is preceded in death by a son, Philip Young Jr; stepmother, Waughletta Young and stepfather, Burt Price. He retired from Columbus Coated Fabrics with over 40 years of service. Philip was also an avid hunter, gardner and enjoyed watching horse racing at Buelah Park. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Horn Young; sons, Todd (Lisa) Young and Ryan Young; daughters, Karen (Curtis) Linton, Patricia Christian and Ronda (Robert) Stout; brother, David (Cathy) Young; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and the apple of his eye Olivia Gaiser. Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, with the funeral service to follow at the funeral home.
