Phillip R. Howard, 66, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Phillip was born on November 2, 1952 in Paintsville, KY to Frank M. and Delia (Wilson) Howard.
Phillip is preceded in death by his brother, Lyndel Howard.
He is survived by his children, Roger Howard, Paul Howard and Christine Howard (Scott); four grandchildren; parents, Frank and Delia Howard; sisters, Elaine (Don) Stanley and Connie (Frank) Weimer; 'special' nephews, Dean and Josh Lundgren; companion, Kathryn Gilbert.
Phillip was employed by the City of Columbus for 26 years. He was a member of the NRA and an avid gun collector. Phillip loved to hunt, was very kind hearted and helped everyone.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior also at Newcomer NE Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Lithopolis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phillip's honor to The American Cancer Society, East Central Division, 5555 Frantz Rd, Columbus, OH 43017.
