Phillip A. Jones, 81, passed away at home on November 11, 2022.
He was born in Newcomerstown, Ohio on "Cuatro de Mayo" May 4, 1941 to Hurtle and Nedra Jones.
Preceded in death by brothers Merlin, Robert, Mahlon and grandson Joey Purpura.
He will be missed dearly by his wife Christine, children Cyndy (Jay) Purpura, Aric Jones, Douglas (Ronda) Jones, Bradley (Joy) Jones and grandchildren Thalia Kage, Jordan Purpura, Brianna Jones, Jenna Purpura, Abigail Jones, Jacob Jones, Samuel Jones, Mara Jones, Marcala Jones.
Phil was a loving father and husband, an avid DIY'er and enjoyed making people laugh, reading science fiction, spending time with his dogs and yelling at the TV for every OSU football game. He was a graduate of Columbus North High School class of 1959. Retired from PSB, Inc a division of White Castle after 40 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Charlie's Wish Animal Rescue.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home at 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
