Phyllis A. Richard, 80, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 20, 2009. Born to Clarence and Anna (McPeek) Lippert in Batesville, OH on January 3, 1929, Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis A. Richard; brother, Leonard Lippert; sister, Emma Ryan. Survivors include her son, Francis P (Kathleen) Richard; grandchildren, Stephanie (Julian) Mathews, Shaun (Pam) Richard, James P. Richard and Kristen A. Chambers; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces, Margaret Moriarity, Ann Garrison and June Ferrell; best friend, Betty O'Dell; other relatives and many friends. Phyllis worked for F&R Lazarus for 35 years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 23, 2009, 10:00 AM at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1566 Ferris Road, Columbus, OH 43224. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 540 Officenter Place, Suite 100, Gahanna, OH 43230.
