Phyllis Claire (Johnson) Boggs, age 74, peacefully passed away on November 16, 2023, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 14, 1949, to Clyde and Ruth Johnson and was raised in Madison County, Ohio. Phyllis had an active involvement in 4-H during her youth, participating in projects such as showing dairy cattle and cooking. She graduated from London High School in 1967.
Phyllis and her husband, Jerry Boggs, met in 1969 at his Lincoln Village Sinclair Filling Station. They exchanged vows on August 31, 1975, and settled in Commercial Point, Ohio, where they raised their family. Phyllis dedicated 30 years of her life to Ford Motor Credit, during which she developed a lifelong friendship with Patricia Patterson. Her passion for cooking was evident, and her family carries on the tradition of her outstanding Holiday Meals.
In her leisure time, Phyllis enjoyed gardening, reading, and creating cherished memories with her granddaughters: Emma Lynn, Avery Rose, and Adalyn Claire Boggs, as well as her bonus-granddaughter, Ryland Sanders. Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Boggs, and her loving children, Amanda (Matthew) Gray and Nathan (Darcey) Boggs. She also leaves behind her siblings: David (Mary Jo) Johnson, Susan (Barton) Kaderly, "Ginny" (Kerry) Keyt, and Patrick (Emily) Johnson, and friends Vaughn and Helen Klein, along with several cousins, nephews, and nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be organized by the family at a later date.
