Phyllis Ann Buyko

Phyllis Ann Buyko, 79, of Columbus, passed away May 18, 2021. Phyllis was born March 21, 1942 in Glouster, OH to Phillip and Bellva (Powell) Young. She retired from Columbus City Schools after many years. Phyllis enjoyed ceramics, camping and many other hobbies. She really enjoyed her time with her ceramic family. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her husband James of 58 years; children Vicki Surber, James (Sandy) Buyko II; grandchildren James Buyko (Kerry) III; sister and best friend Linda Parker and sisters Beth (Dan) Gibbs and Emily (Phil) Meckley along with many other family and friends. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, brother Denny Young and brother-in-law Dave Parker. Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2021, from 6pm to 8pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10am at St. James the Less Catholic Church 1628 Oakland Park Ave. Columbus. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
