Phyllis Raike, 88, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Villages of Norworth. She was born January 14, 1923, in Uhrichville, OH, daughter of the late Howard and Mary Sopp. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Raike and brother, Glenn Sopp. She was a homemaker and also worked in Real Estate. Phyllis was also a member of the Eastern Star and volunteered for the Minerva Park Emergency Squad and Minerva Park Place. She is survived by her son, John H. (Marlene) Raike; daughter, Heather (Bob) Hart. Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2011 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery.
