Phyllis Ann Underwood, born on July 3, 1938 passed away on January 22, 2024. She was a beloved mother, sister and daughter.

Phyllis is survived by her brother Richard (Cathy) Jones, her daughters Teaya (Walt) Rough, Amy Gilliam, sons, James (Rosemary) Underwood, Adam (Kim) Underwood. Granddaughters Meagan Pottle, Marci Carnes, grandson Kyle (Brittany) Underwood. Multiple great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her mother June Jones, son Mark Carnes and son-in-law Ron Cline.

Phyllis will be remembered as an avid gardener, lover of books and music as well as a creative artisan. She treasured creating handcrafted items using timeless and unique techniques. She cherished her family and found joy in her love for The Ohio State Buckeyes, lively discussions and all animals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of donations, we ask that you send flowers to someone you love or to yourself. She took great pleasure in giving and receiving flowers and often spoke of how healing they can be to all of us.

A private service will be held at Newcomer Funerals and Cremations SW Chapel-3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
