Austin "Pippin" Miller, 96, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio.
Pippin was born on April 19, 1927 in Sterling, Virginia to the late Mahlon and Mary Ankers.
She is preceded in death by husband, George Miller; daughters; Mary Kathryn Miller, and Susan Gardner.
Surviving family includes daughters, Nora Altice, Carol (Mark) Bair, Elaine (Chuck) Scott; grandchildren, Christina (Ben) Jeffcoat, Elizabeth (Todd) Davidson, John Robert Altice, Kimberly (Rich) Lynn, Daniel (Ariel) Bair, Kasce (Allison) Gardner, Rachel Bair, Andrew Scott; great grandchildren, John (Elizabeth), Michael (Kayla), Julia, Sierra, Grace, James, Lily, Samuel, Lucas, Adalyn, Kaden, Gatlin, Shane; great-great grandchildren, Addy, Aristotle, Paul, Sazja, Julian; as well as many other extended family and friends.
Pippin was a long time participant and leader in the 4H Club in Virginia and Ohio. She was a member of North Broadway United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. Pippin volunteered for many years at Riverside Methodist Hospital in the Sewing Guild, as well as with Inniswood Metro Park for over 25 years. She was very active at Westerwood, as a member the gardening club and as a volunteer in the library and store.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
