R. Lynn Jenkins

R. Lynn Jenkins, 92, of Columbus, passed away May 18, 2021. Lynn was born October 7, 1928 in Bradenville, PA to Robert and Rachel (Hill) Jenkins. Lynn was a barbershop harmony singer for over 50 years. He was a counselor for the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation in the state of Ohio. Lynn enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. Lynn will be deeply missed by his wife Vera (Thordsen) of 70 years; children Neva (Paul) Samuel, Kevin Jenkins; grandchildren Patricia (Ben) Tate, Blair (Jonah) Hughes, Grant (Kaitlyn) Samuel, Aubrey Samuel; many great-grandchildren; brother Bruce Jenkins; sister Carol Jenkins along with many other family and friends. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Lee and brother Bob, son-in-law Paul "Sam" Samuel. Visitation will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 2pm until the time of service at 3pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus. Burial will be at Northlawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
