Rachel Lanning, 65, of Lockbourne, passed away December 4, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob G. Lanning; parents, Richard Hanrahan and Ruby Dummitt; brother, Dick Hanrahan and sisters, Nancy Bourne and Beth Smalley. Rachel is survived by her son, Jim (Linda) Robinson; grandchildren, Jimmy and Jordan Robinson; special niece, Daphne (Rob) Bruce and their daughter, Jayden; sisters, Johnita Dummitt, Cheryl Hewitt; cousin, Donna Snyder and a host of other relatives and friends. Rachel was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2505 Women's auxiliary, Moose Lodge and Order of Eastern Star. She retired from the State of Ohio Bureau of Drug Abuse after 29 years of service. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:30AM Friday, December 7, 2007 at the funeral home. Pastor Owen Stotts will be officiating with interment at Sunset Cemetery.
