Ralph E. Charles

Ralph E. Charles Sr., age 87 passed away on February 26, 2021. He was born on March 13, 1933 to the late Paris and Rosa Charles (Williams) in Hurley, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Hattie; his daughter, Sandra K. Charles; and many siblings.

He is survived by his children, Ralph (Jerrie) Charles Jr. and Rosemarie (Tony) Shepherd; sister, Mae; grandchildren, Summer, Kyle, Kara, and Noelle; many great grandchildren. Ralph was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War era. Some of his hobbies included music and playing his guitar, fishing, as well as teaching. He was also a prominent business owner for many years. Ralph also enjoyed building and creating things. He was a true craftsman who, in his own words, "Could fix anything but a broken heart". He was a long standing member of Canaan Land Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by his church family.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm.

Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
