Ralph D. Rickey, 83, of Grove City, passed away October 28, 2010 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1927 in Portsmouth, OH. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris I. Rickey, and parents Holly H. Rickey and Flossie Rickey. Ralph is survived by his sons Donald B. and Ralph E. Rickey; grandchildren, Dawn E. (Rickey) Storts, Amy J. Rickey, Michael T. Rickey, Marz A. Rickey and Caleb J. Rickey; great-grandchildren, Brandon M. Rickey, Cody J. Storts, Alex Q. Storts, Madison Sanford, Kane Rickey, Kristoffer A. Rickey and Damian A. Rickey; and special daughter-in-law Joellyn Sterr. He is a retired Lieutenant from Jackson Twp. Fire Department where he served his community for 28 years. Ralph was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. Visitation will be held Saturday October 30, 2010 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home Grove City Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be held Sunday October 31, 2010 at 11 AM at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thank you to Mt. Carmel Hospice for their care and support.
