Ralph, E. "Gene" Brobeck, 70, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2009. Gene was born to the late Ralph F. and Evelyn (Olson) Brobeck in Rochester, PA., on December 5, 1938. He is survived by his daughter, Dodie (John) Allen ; son, David (Annette) Brobeck; grandchildren, Shannen, Claire, Maddy, Michael; brother, Edwin (Peggy) Brobeck and many friends. Gene was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Anderson Concrete after 34 years. Gene was a generous and kind man who loved children, dogs, sports and jazz. Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH is honored to serve the Brobeck Family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009, 1:30 PM at Grace Point Community Church, 2392 Peachblow Road, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Delaware County Humane Society, Greyhound Adoption of Ohio or the charity of your choice.
