Ralph Schmitz, 59, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1952, in Springfield, IL. Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Schmitz and wife, Neda Hopper Schmitz. He is survived by his wife, Annamarie Schmitz; children, Christopher (Elizabeth) Schmitz, Jaime (James) Camelford and Michael Guthrie; mother, Helen Nation Schmitz; brothers, Joe (Shin Hwa) and Michael (Marcia) Schmitz; sisters, Pat (Jim) Creviston, Toni Rolando and Sue Harper; grandchildren, Brianna, Eric, Christian, William, Nicki, Abigail and Samantha. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corner Rd. Columbus. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, c/o Mt. Carmel Foundation 6150 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213.
