Ramila H Patel. Age 74, died on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her home in Dublin, OH. Ramila was born on August 11, 1948 in Zambia. Ramila was preceded in death by her parents; Satyendrabhai Patel (Father), and Kashiben Patel (Mother), her husband; Harshad Patel, her brother Balvantbhai Patel, and sisters, Subhadraben and Avantikaben Patel. Ramila is survived by her two sons, Neel (Lindsey) Patel and Amit (Brooke) Patel and grandchildren, Avni (2), Isabella (15) and Elyse (13). Ramila is also survived by her brother, Kanubhai Patel, sister, Bhagvatiben Patel, sister, Mandakiniben Desai and brother, Vijaybhai Patel.
Ramila lived most of her life in Newmarket, Ontario Canada. Her greatest joy was spending time with her close friends and family. She moved to Dublin, Ohio in 2018 to be closer to her granddaughters. Ramila never met a stranger and would always open her home up to anyone who needed a roof over their head or a hot meal on their plate. She would give without any expectation of anything in return. She was an avid cook and created amazing dishes from traditional Indian food to full Thanksgiving meals. We will miss her samosa's and mushroom gravy. Ramila had a zest for life and traveled the world, most notably China, Australia, Peru, Iceland, Japan and most recently Greece. Her favorite place was Myanmar, where she loved the people and food. Ramila, you will be missed dearly, and your family and friends loved you to the moon and back.
A memorial service for Ramila will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio 43065. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomercolumbus.com. Following the memorial service, there will be a lunch provided at Wedgewood Country Club from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (9600 Wedgewood Blvd., Powell, Ohio 43065).
