Ray Cottrill, 75, Columbus, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010. Ray was born in Hamden, OH to Herbert and Mary (Bayes) Cottrill on August 24, 1935, and is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Alan Cottrill; sister, Kay McManis; brother, Ronald Cottrill. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Arlene (Harper) Cottrill; daughter, Kathy (John) Rost; sister, Sharon McDaniel; grandchildren, Sarah (Teddy Locke) Cottrill, Katie (Nick) Hilton, Chelsea Cottrill; great-grandson, Kyle Locke; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Ray was employed for 43 years with Metzger Brothers Construction aka Tamarack Construction. The family would like to thank the staff of the Greater Columbus Regional Dialysis and St. Ann's ICU for their wonderful care. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010, 3-7PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, 11:00 AM at Hamden Cemetery, Hamden, OH 45634. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Ray's name to the American Kidney Fund, 61110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-3914.
