Ray Dotson, age 78, went home to be with the Lord and Savior, September 7, 2011 at his home. Born to Paris and Mary Dotson on June 23, 1933 in Delorme, WV. Ray was a vetran of the Korean War. He was a loving and giving man. He loved to help anyone in need. He was a hard worker, retired from Buckeye Steel as a welder in Columbus, OH. Member of Victory in Jesus Church in KY. Ray was a widower of the late Lillie Dotson and the late Laura "Polly" Dotson. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Freelin, Roy, Cecil and Earnest; 2 sisters, Melda and Mae; and 5 step-children, Norma Jean, Monagail, Peggy, James and Sharon. He is survived by his son Donald (Darlene) Dotson and 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Kyle; many step-children, Jenny, Kenny, Steve, Nancy Carol, Tina, James, Jake and Joe; and many grandchildren. Ray will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. He is resting peacefully in Jesus' arms. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 and Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at R.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, 37035 State Highway 194 E, Phelps, KY 41553. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 12, 2011 at R.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home.
