Raymond Byas

Raymond Samuel Byas, 88, of Columbus, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Mt. Carmel West.
He was born February 14, 1924 in Huntington, WV, son of the late Henry and Emma White Byas.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his grandson, Freddie Ray Adkins; daughter-in-law, Anita Kay Byas and ten brothers and sisters.
He served as the head pastor for over 40 years at 1799 Sale Rd. Church.
Ray served in the Army during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Roth Byas; children, Gary (Mickey) Byas, Vicky (Buck) McDowell, Danny Byas, Tommy (Linda) Byas, Terry (Larry) Bryant, Joey Byas and numerous grandchildren, great, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Interment will be in Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
