EESLEY
Raymond D. "Pudge" Eesley, age 85, passed away on March 10, 2008 at his home in Grove City, OH. He was born December 8, 1922 in Grove City, the son of Earnest and Lillian Eesley. Pudge retired in 1984 from Western Electric where he was a respected precision gage-maker. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Southwest Franklin County Historical Society and the American Legion Paschall Post 164. During his retirement, Pudge devoted much of his time to the relocation and renovation of the Orders Schoolhouse that his mother attended as a child, and the Kegg family farmhouse. Both structures are now located in Grove City Fryer Park. He was also instrumental in the preservation of Hoover Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene; son Gary (Barbara) Eesley of Lake Orion, MI; daughter Luann Eesley of Chillicothe, OH; son Jeffrey Eesley of Worthington, OH; grandchildren Christopher and Elizabeth of Lake Orion, MI; sister Marilyn Kemz and brother Robert Eesley. The family will receive friends between 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. The funeral service will be held 1:00PM Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, with Pastor Don Allman officiating. Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery on 6244 Hoover Rd., Grove City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the International Essential Tremor Foundation.
