Raymond Mason Humble Sr.

Our dear Raymond Mason Humble Sr. went Home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 10, 2024 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on December 16, 1949 in Columbus to Marian Andrix Humble and Mason Humble and he was a proud resident of Darbydale, Ohio.

Raymond overcame many obstacles in his life because of severe injuries suffered in a fire at the young age of 7, after which he was in Children’s Hospital for 3 years. Despite this, throughout his life he was proud of his accomplishments that he met with courage and determination.

Raymond was also very patriotic. Veteran’s Day was his favorite Holiday because his father died of injuries sustained in WWII.

He was an excellent musician who could be found entertaining family and friends with his harmonica skills. He was also a welder and a semi-truck driver, but he also had an adventurous side that brought him to skydiving!

His greatest achievement was his loving care of Mary S. Souch (whom he called Grandma) for many years. His adventurous side also had him driving a motorhome for Grandma Souch traveling throughout the country. Later, he provided her care during her convalescent years.

The family will always be grateful for his compassionate care and acknowledge he was a blessing.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents, brother, Daniel Kramer, Grandparents- Etta Kincaid Andrix, Clinton Andrix, Hattie Dunham and her husband and his beloved dog Bitty.

He is survived by sisters Gretchen Young and Claudette Wilson, 3 children and numerous grandchildren. Chosen family Mary P. Souch, Sarah Rhodes, Claire and Grace Rhodes, the extended Souch Family, Andrix Family, Kramer Family and Humble Family and many dear friends and close buddies.

Finally, Raymond’s was a life well-lived met with fearlessness and fortitude. We know he is now in the Arms of the Angels- Flying High as his memory lives on in our hearts.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, where funeral services will then be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
