Raymond Russell Rieser

On Thursday, December 1, 2022, Raymond Russell Rieser a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with Jesus. His body was 68 years old, but his heart and spirit never aged.
Ray was an avid fisherman and hunter with a passion for training and racing horses. He lit up when talking about his beloved memories of his racing family at Beulah Park. Watching horses race was part of his daily routine.
He spent every weekend with his grandchildren at the creek that he made his families personal oasis. Every summer was spent fishing, kayaking, ninja nights, and nerf wars.
His final years were full of adventure after his recent retirement from Rieser Auto Body. He spent 49 years doing what he loved and growing the family business.
Some other memorable traits were his love for practical jokes and classic rock music. His upbeat presence could light up any room. He continued to make jokes in his final days. His love for family and Jesus were unmatched.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Rieser, children, Tim Haning (Shaunda), Samantha (Levi Simonton), Dempsey Haning (Jamie); beloeved grandchildren, Carson, Raegan, Violet, Parker, Jamie, and Noah; mother, Carol Rieser; siblings, Bev, Fred, Rick, and Mark; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other good friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Rieser Sr. and sister, Judy Rieser-Edwards; nephews, Jordan Rieser and Joe Edwards.
Friends and family are welcome to celebrate his life at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, where he was a proud, lifelong member, 4770 Hoover Rd, Grove City, OH 43123 on Thursday, December 8, 2022 with visitation being held from 3:00pm until time of memorial service at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association.
