Raymond Eddie Rinehart, age 56, of Columbus, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, on December 28, 2021. He was born on May 26, 1965, in Lancaster, to Ronald and Margaret (Denney) Rinehart.
Ray proudly served our Country in the United States Army. He was employed at Jegs for 35 years. He loved funny car racing, drag racing and land speed racing.
Ray loved his dog, Laila and hanging out with her. He spent his time drawing characters, painting, taking photos of wildlife and scenic views, and fishing. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Rutledge; mother, Margaret Rinehart; step-children, Cheryl (Steve) Albrechta, Thomas Rutledge, Bill (Lisa) Chapman, and Mandy (Ibrahim) Hamza; grandchildren, Haylie, Tony, Mason, Eddie, Brooklynn, Miles and Samira; and his brother, Jeff (Linda) Rinehart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Rinehart.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 5, 2021, from 4-6 p.m., at Newcomer NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, 43065, where a funeral service with Army Honors will begin at 6 p.m.
