Rebecca Ruth Compton

Rebecca Ruth Compton, age 82, of Columbus, passed away on July 17, 2023. She was born on June 24, 1941 to the late John and Lucille Pearl (Holshue) Hilpert in Columbus, OH. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by son Jeff Compton and former husband Ronald Compton. Rebecca is survived by her children John (Karin) Compton and Jennifer Daniels, grandchildren Christina, Josh, Angela, Kia, Kaden, Rianna, Amanda and Jeffrey Jr., great grandchildren Archer, Rylie, Reid, Eveline, Brady, Olivia, Emily, Logan, and Ryder, siblings Mary Kelly, Ilo Ford, John Hilpert, June Covert, Susan Hodge, Elona Huffman and Sharon Hammond.

She liked to fish, going to the park and gatherings at the church. People always looked forward to her baking, she was always baking with her grandchildren. She made several wedding cakes as well as flower arrangements for gatherings. Rebecca loved her flower garden, which was always beautiful.

She will sadly be missed by all.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on August 14, 2023 from 2:00pm until time of memorial service at 4:00pm with Pastor Randy Barr officiating.
