Rebecca Gray

Rebecca Janice Gray, 76 passed away peacefully on January 21, 2022. She was born June 2, 1945 in Richlands VA to Virden 'Byrd' and Wintie Compton Gilbert. She married Don Gray on May 29, 1965.
Jan was kind hearted and loved by those who knew her. She was a babysitter for 25 years and all of her kids enjoyed the extra love she added to everything she touched. She loved to cook and on several occasions was stopped by strangers because of her strong resemblance to Paula Deen.
For the past 14 years Jan has enjoyed spending the winter months in Palmetto FL, where she loved taking drives up and down the coast, going to the beach and enjoying fresh seafood.
Jan is survived by her husband Don, her son Michael Gray, daughter Robyn (Erik) Edmondson, granddaughter Rebecka Edmondson, many nieces and nephews.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents Virden and Wintie Gilbert, brothers Bernard Gilbert, Raymond Gilbert, James Gilbert, and sisters Jacqueline Jackson, and Sandra Gilbert.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and again on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 9:00am until time of funeral service at 10:00am.
Interment to follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
