Regina (Gina) Danielle Moreland, age 49, of Powell, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, 8:39 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021. She was born March 30, 1972, in Lima, Ohio.
Gina was an incredible human being who touched so many lives, but she will best be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and sister. Above all else, Gina was a devoted mother to her son, Benjamin. Gina was extremely proud of Benjamin and covered the walls with pictures of his numerous achievements. She truly loved her family and friends and often thought of them in kind and generous ways.
Gina graduated from Shawnee High School, class of 1990, and then received her B.A. from The Ohio State University. After graduating from Ohio State, Gina worked as a copywriter for King Thompson Realtors and WorldCom. She was a talented communications professional who had a gift for writing and creative storytelling. Gina also had a great sense of humor and an encyclopedic knowledge of late '80s alternative rock. Her hobbies included reading, cross-stitch, jewelry making, and cooking.
Survivors include her son, Benjamin Joseph Moreland; her mother, Cheryl Ann Miller; her sister, Natasha N. (Dan) Swartwout; and her niece, Elizabeth Ann Swartwout, all of Powell, Ohio.
Regina was preceded in death by her father, Ronald D. Miller; her maternal grandparents, Fred and Helen Arthur; and her paternal grandparents, John and Pearl Miller.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, at Newcomer Northwest Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane Powell, OH 43065.
