Rev. J. Sprague

It is with profound sadness that the Family of David Sprague announce his sudden passing at Riverside Hospital on 21st of October, 2021 at the age of 61 years old.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Pamela; children: David Sprague (Aimee), Jonathan Sprague (Corey), Timothy Sprague (Sara), Bradley Sprague, Christopher Sprague, Shannon Byers (Joe); grandchildren; Haley Sprague, Tyler Sprague, Arianna Sprague, Scott Sprague, Gabriel Sprague, Karalee Sprague, Annabelle Sprague, Caleb Sprague, Hannah Sprague; sisters: Dorothy Wheeler (Bill), Reva Ross (Dale), Diana Renner, Betty Messenger, Kathy Rice (John), LaVonne Sprague, Ellen Ziemianski (Daniel), Nancy Hamby, Bonnie Marshall (Tom), Shirley Wanger (Terrance); brothers: George Sprague (Sherry) and Eugene Sprague (Sheryl). David was preceded in death by his parents: George and Roxie Sprague; sister, Rachel Ross (Ernie); grandchild.

David was born in Salyersville, Kentucky in 1959 to the late George Sprague and Roxie Baliey. David had a long career of thirty-eight years with Bigs Lots Distribution in Columbus, OH. David was a lover of the outdoors, spending countless hours camping and hiking with his wife Pam and his five boys and nine grandchildren. David's true passion other than his love for his family was his love for the Lord. An assistant pastor of the Full Gospel Church of God in Obetz, Dave served faithfully. David was a pillar of the church, a great source of wisdom and knowledge of the word. David displayed the very attributes of Christ. One of the greatest gifts that David leaves us is his Godly example of true faithfulness. David will forever be remembered as someone who always put the needs of others above his own and would often dedicate his spare time to helping others. A true man of principles and honor, we are all eternally grateful to have been blessed to have called David, husband, father, pap, brother, pastor, and friend.

Visitation will be held at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm at the Victorious Living Christian Center 2996 Columbus St, Grove City, OH 43123 on Friday, October 29, 2021. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery.
