Rev. Ronald Grissom

The Rev.Ronald Grissom 69 of Grove City passed on August 9, 2015. He was born February 10, 1946 in Dayton, OH to Lowell and Betty Jean Grissom who preceded him in death. He is survived by 3 brothers David, Marc, and Bradley Grissom; and family friends Gary & Karen Rawson and God Children Tracie, Brian, and Kellie Rawson; nephew David Jr. and nieces Sherry Sherwood and Amy Paul.

Ronald was a Lutheran Minister for 30 years serving churches in Bridgeport and Clintonville, OH - Russell, KY - and Berlin, Germany. Ron was a Fulbright Scholar who studied in Germany. He was ordained in Germany in September 23, 1973 and served until December 1975. He returned to the United States and took a call to serve at Bethel Lutheran in Russell, KY from 1976 to 1979. He took his next call at Clinton Heights Lutheran Church and served there until 1991, and his final call was to St. Paul Lutheran in Bridgeport, OH until 2004.

Visitation will be held from 10am to noon and 1pm to 2pm on Thursday August 13, 2015 at the Bethel Lutheran Church 4501 Hoover Road Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral services will be held at 2pm by Bishop Suzanne Darcy Dillahunt, Southern Ohio Synod, and the Rev Peter I. Ray, with burial to follow in Grove City Cemetery new section. In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to Bethel Lutheran Church or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, OH.
