Richard A. Hanson, 58, Westerville, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. Rick was born in Elyria, OH on May 8, 1955, to the late Charles W. and Phyllis J. (Hunker) Hanson and is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Hanson.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Haponek) Hanson; daughters, Andrea (David Monfort) Hanson, Melissa Hanson and Stephanie Hanson; brother, Charles "David" (Natasha) Hanson; grandchildren, Connor and Skylar; sister-in-law, Gladys Hanson; nieces, nephews and their families plus many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. In addition, Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst, OH 44001, with a Graveside Service to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 640 N Ridge Road, Lorain, OH 44053.
