Richard Clark

December 30, 1945 — April 6, 2021

Dick Clark, age 75, of Westerville, (aka Grandpa Buckeye) passed away at home on April 6 due to complications of lymphoma from Agent Orange exposure while serving in the Marines in Viet Nam. Dick was a long distance truck driver hauling household goods for northAmerican Van Lines for many years. He enjoyed seeing the country and he and his wife, Rosie, traveled the country together hauling High Value Products for northAmerican Van Lines. He was an avid Harley motorcycle enthusiast, a lover of paper maps, and was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 25 years. Dick was born December 30, 1945, to Vincent dePaul Clark and Marjorie King Clark in Zanesville, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and cousin and daughter-in-law Suzanne Telleysh Clark. Dick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosie Donavon Clark, and two sons, Michael (late wife Suzie) of Phoenix, AZ; Granddaughter Reese Clark of Phoenix, AZ; and son Dave (Molly) of Baden, PA; sister Mary Ann Davino (Doug) of Knoxville; brothers Tim (Valerie, fiancee) of Newark, OH; and Bill Clark of Las Vegas. An uncle, Gene Paul King, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends survive as well as Brothers-in-law Harry (Rene) Donavon of Dallas; Michael (Charlotte) Donavon of Virginia; and Sister-in-law Ann Donavon Forgrave (David, deceased).

A memorial service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 3047 Dublin-Granville Road, officiated by Fr. Dean Mathewson, Wednesday, April 14. Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 p.m. Memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Marine flag presentation. Please observe social distancing and note that masks are required. Dick will be buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in St. Louisville following a private graveside service.
