Richard Czeh

November 20, 1946 — April 4, 2023

Richard "Gypsy" Czeh, age 76, of Westerville Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at home with family.

He was born November 20, 1946 in Manhattan, New York to the late Andrew and Katherine Czeh.

He is preceded in death by his father, Andrew, his mother, Katherine, his brother, Gary, his step daughter, Missy and his Aunt Tessie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Diddle Czeh and his two devoted children, his beloved daughter, Nicole (Nikki) Czeh and his beloved son, Clifford (Cliff) Czeh, His step daughter, Amy Diddle, his step son, Tim Diddle, and sister Joan Czeh.

Rich spent his early years in Manhattan, New York, and moved with his family to Queens, New York, as an early teenager. He graduated from Power Memorial Academy an all boys Catholic High School in New York City. After graduation, Rich worked for a local bank, and was then drafted into the US Army. He spent a year in Vietnam in the infantry. He was there for the Tet Offensive in 1968. Upon leaving the Army, Rich worked for the telephone company and upon the break up of (MA Bell) opened his telephone business installing business companies telephone service.

Rich and his family later moved to Columbus Ohio where Rich invested in real estate and later became a Real Estate Broker with his own company "Real Estate Warehouse" which he retired from in 2010.

Rich loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them. They were his ROCK and he was theirs. He also loved spending time with Amy, his special needs step daughter. She adored him.

In his 60's he purchased his first motorcycle, rode for the first time and joined the "COMBAT VETS MOTORCYCLE ASSOCIATION" His "Road name was GYPSY." Rich and Barbara became life members of the organization and found another family within the association, they were his brothers and sisters that he loved..

Rich had many interests, He loved being with family, He enjoyed vacations, he created jewelry, he had fun gardening, and loved being in the sun.

Rich was an animal lover, his pets were family members and he always had at least two dogs at any time.

Rich had a full life and his favorite pastime was EATING!

His services will be held Monday, April 10th, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home East, 1pm with visitation hours 11am til 1pm. Military funeral Honors will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
