Richard E. Miller, 70, of Columbus, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009. Born to Escar and Daphne (Sheldon) Miller in Ashville, OH on October 7, 1938, Richard is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marge Seyfang. Survivors include his wife, Carol (Stine) Miller; daughters, Ann (Randy) Lein and Deanna (Don) Murray; son, Rob (Beth) Miller; step-sons, Greg Hartman and J.J. (Lori) Johnson; sisters, Jean (Frank) Deal, Kay (George) McGlone and Nancy (Luke) Evert; grandchildren, Brent, Kaci and Kelli Murray, Curtis and Corbin Szabo, Autumn, Jessica and MacKenzie Miller; step-grandchildren, Gregory, Kelly and Paige Hartman, Stephen and William Johnson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Richard was a member of North Baptist Church, worked as a supervisor for AT&T for 30 years and worked for the State Treasurer's office for 4 years. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009, 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Harrison Twp. Cemetery, South Bloomfield, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221.
