GRAY
Richard D. Gray, fondly known as "Dick", went to be with his heavenly father after 79 years, Sunday, June 11, 2006, surrounded by his family and friends. Born October 31, 1926, to the late Raymond Gray and Amy Marie (Graham) Gray, Dick is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wilma J. (Barnett) Gray; sons; Keith (Midge), of Athens, GA., Lee of St. Petersburg, FL, Mike (Maureen) of Columbus, OH; daughter, KayLea of Columbus, OH; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Irene) Wolford; sisters; Catherine Myers and Carolyn (Mel) Richardson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of loving friends and special neighbors of Greystone Village. Dick was a veteran of WWII and proudly served with the US Navy and served the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Dick retired from over the road trucking after 25 years and was involved in construction work for 6 years. His enjoyments were: golf, nature walks in Darby Creek Park, making others laugh due to his wonderful sense of humor, but most of all, his greatest joy was being with his wife and loving family. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006 and 9:00 1100 a.m.Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11 :00 AM Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the funeral home. Senior Pastor Jerry Neal, First Baptist Church of Grove City, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Dick requested that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016.
