Richard "Richie" Groves, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on July 21, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 27, 1966 to James Edward and Mary Jo Groves. Richie grew up in Columbus and graduated from Franklin Heights, Class of 1984.
Richie was always the life of the party and will be missed dearly. He loved watching football and enjoyed cooking for everyone on game day or any occasion. Richie loved blaring his music, dancing and making everyone laugh. He was truly one of a kind.
Preceded in death by his father, James Groves; brothers, Billy and Jimmy Groves; nephews, Jimmy and Ryan Groves; Lisa's parents, Larry and Jeannette Wotring.
He is survived by the love of his life, Lisa Wotring; mother, Mary Jo Groves; children, Matthew and Marissa Groves; Lisa's children, Joey (Heidi), Sam (Marty), Kevin (Alex), Kory and Maranda; Richie and Lisa's grandchildren, Kaylea, Tristyn, Tanner, Joey, Cale, Kaysen, Emmett, Cameron, and Caden, as well as numerous family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
