Richard Hustead, 72, of Columbus passed away on 7/15/2010. He was the youngest of four children born to James and Elizabeth (Thompson) Hustead.
Richard graduated from Linden McKinley HS and became an active member of the US Army. He bravely served during the Viet Nam War, during which he met and married his wife, Linda Maria Hustead.
He was honorably discharged from the army and settled in Columbus with his family. Richard became a member of St. James the Less Catholic Church where he was baptized by Father Lux.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, James "Junior" Hustead and Charles Hustead. He is survived by his four children, Daisy(Ron), David, Robert, and Susan(Larry); his ten grandchildren; and his sister, Jean(Walter) Moore.
Viewing will be held on Monday July 19, 2010 between 10:00am and 2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. A service and burial will be held on Tuesday July 20, 2010 at 10:30am at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
