Richard L. Johnson, 62, of Grove City, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Dick was born to Edwin and Frances (Draper) Johnson of Obetz, OH on February 13, 1947, and is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Connie Johnson; daughter, Kristen (Shane) Romans; step-son, Brian (Marjorie) Blalock; sister, Patricia (Glenn) Shafer; grandchildren, Corinne Johnson, Wesley Blalock and Luke Romans; nephews, many family and friends. Dick served with the Upper Arlington Fire Department and also was an instructor for the Ohio Fire Academy, Reynoldsburg, OH. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Grove City. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Grove City, 3301 Orders Road, Grove City, OH with the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Jerry Neal will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Memorial/Tribute Fund, American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215-1165.
