Richard L. Ohde, 67, left this world to go to a better place peacefully on March 9, 2011 while surrounded by love. He was born June 8, 1943 to the late James and Jean Ohde, and was preceded in death by brothers James and Floyd, and sister Elizabeth. Rich leaves his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy, and will live on through his precious children Richard F. (Kate) of Marysville and Elizabeth H. of Grove City. He will be warmly remembered for his devotion to his family and his work. He retired from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry after 23 years of service. He also owned Ohde's Dental Lab. He was an avid golfer, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren, Kaiden, Kyle, Kamden, and Claire. Rich lived his life out loud and enjoyed every minute. He is gone but will never be forgotten. To the world he was one person, but to us he was the world. Also survived by his sisters Sandy, Donna, Kathy, and Becky; many nieces and nephews, and friends, including best friend Bill Wilson. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00pm, Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am, Monday, March 14, 2011 in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
