Richard Allen Meyer "Shiney", 72, of Grove City, passed away October 13, 2007. Richard is survived by his wife Shirley; sons, Larry and Angela Meyer, Pat and Bobbi Meyer and Douglas and Jennifer Meyer; grandchildren, Sarah, Corey, Christopher and Aidan; sister and brother-in-law, Patti and Tom Ongaro. Richard was a retired firefighter for the Columbus Fire Department. He was a member of Westgate Kiwanis and was very active in ministries at Westgate Methodist Church and the Westside Free Store. Richard was a veteran of the US Army. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Memorial services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Westgate Methodist Church, 61 S. Powell Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43204 with Pastor Karen Muntzing officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Westside Free Store in care of Westgate Methodist Church. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com
