Richard D. Miller

Richard D Miller, age 76, passed away on February 8, 2023 at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville Ohio. He lived in Delaware Ohio and was a former resident of Ottawa Lake MI and Toledo OH. He graduated from Whiteford Agricultural School and is retired from Ottawa Products in Curtis OH. Richard served in the Army and was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star Medal for his service to his country.

Richard enjoyed wood working and building projects. He enjoyed traveling with his family, swimming in the ocean, and spending time with his grandsons. He had a great love of his pets, both cats and dogs over the years. He was a lifetime University of Michigan fan, and as he would say, "Go Blue."

He was born to Roman Miller and Alice (Wawrzyniak) Miller. Surviving are his wife of 50 years Fran (Napierala) Miller, Daughter Michele (Chris) Jeunelot, Grandson Dakota (Kasie) Jeunelot, Grandson Evan Jeunelot, Great Grand Daughter Amelia Jeunelot, Sisters Cindy Miller and Cherie (Don) Bayer. Proceeded in death are his parents, Brothers Sonny, Robert, and Tom Miller. Sisters Marcia and Patricia Miller. A celebration of life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 3655 King Road, Toledo OH on Saturday February 25 starting at 2:00 with a service starting at 4:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to causes Richard supported such as local animal shelters or St. Jude.
