Perry
Richard A. Perry, born June 12, 1927 in Washington, D.C. passed peacefully October 9, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He lived a long fulfilling life with many accomplishments. In 1945 he joined the U.S. Military where he was stationed at Ft. George G. Mead in Maryland. After his discharge he traveled the Midwest. He settled in Columbus "it was a nice town". He attended college at Franklin University earning a Business Admin Degree, soon after he met a girl that would be his wife of 53 years and proceed to start a family ending with a gang of 9, 7 boys and 2 girls. Soon he started his own business Edward Lead Manufacturing, being the devoted business man he was in his dedication to hard work. His company flourished and was very successful. In his eyes he had it all, a large loving family and successful business. Richard was one of the most compassionate and generous people, always giving and putting others first with no questions asked and nothing in return. He was very dedicated to his family and his love for them was never ending. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Audrey M. Perry; mother, Eleanor Puckett; father, Everett Puckett; children, Peggy M. Perry Brock and John Perry; great grandson, Nathan Lewis; beloved pets, Hershel, Oreo, Spock and Morris. He is survived by his children, Christine (Vic) Aranda, Rick (Elizabeth) Perry, Bob (Jean) Perry, Mike (Hazel) Perry, Ken (Margaret) Perry, Steve (Stacey) Perry, David (Teresa) Perry; special adoptive grandchildren, James and Jennifer; 23 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City and also Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 PM. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 584 W. Broad St. Columbus. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
