Richard Pohlable left the physical world on November 13, 2023 just as he lived it, peaceful and surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 15, 1948 in Columbus Ohio, Richard was the 2nd of three sons. Richard married Norma Comer on May 24, 1980 and together enjoyed a beautiful life.
He was a proud Army Veteran who served from 1968 to 1970 including a tour in Vietnam. Richard made life long friends working for 29 years at Union Fork and Hoe. In his spare time Richard loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and traveling. In the summers if he wasn't home working on the yard, you could find him at the lake. His real pride and joy was making memories with Norma and their many family members. You could find Richard dressing for any holiday occasion, whether it be dressed as the Easter bunny, Santa Clause, or wearing a holiday hat.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Norma Pohlable, and his 2 sons David (Jon) Pohlable and Thomas (Angie) King, his brother Charles Pohlable, Brother in law Bill Comer, he was blessed with many nieces and nephews, and many more great neices and great nephews. He is preceeded in death by his father John W. Pohlable Sr., mother Geraldine M. Rowan, and brother John Pohlable. Richard will be missed by so many who will take solice in knowing that he will now forever be "finer than a frogs hair, split four ways."
A visitation for Richard will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at the Newcomer Southwest Chapel 3393 Broad, Grove City Ohio, 43123. A visitation and service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11am with the service starting at noon, at the Newcomer Southwest Chapel. Richard will then be laid to rest at the Harrison Township Cemetery.
