Richard "Jim" Potter, Jr, 70, of Columbus, passed away April 14, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Opal (Reed) Potter Sr.; wife, Ruth; sons, Randy and Rick Potter and brothers, Virgil and Jack Potter. Jim is survived by his daughters, Robin Barber, Lorrie Potter, Michelle Potter; sons, Dale Potter, Bill Potter; sisters, Ethel Rayburn, Alice Riffe; brother, Donald Potter; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved dogs, Buster, Pitzie and Spunky. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Wright Brothers Excavating after 35 years of service. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00PM Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the funeral home. Rev. Paul King will be officiating with burial at Waterloo Cemetery, Pancoastburg, Ohio.
