Richard J. Repeta, 77, passed away suddenly on April 12, 2025. He was born on June 29, 1947, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Louis and Charlotte Repeta.
Rick proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. A hardworking and dedicated man, he spent many years as an auto mechanic and mail carrier on Broadway in Grove City. In the years leading up to his retirement, he worked alongside his sons at Franklin Equipment, a time he deeply cherished.
In retirement, Rick found joy in the simple pleasures of life—checking in on Repeta Rides, spending quality time with family, and sharing laughter and memories with friends at Tavern 62. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, warm heart, and unwavering love for those around him.
Rick is survived by his wife, Dianna Repeta; his beloved best friend (dog); Pawlee, his brother, Jimi Repeta; and sister, Louise Sweet. He leaves behind his children: Tony (Amber) Repeta, Jason Repeta, and fiancé Heather Lind, and Amber (Joe) Deafenbaugh. Rick was a proud grandfather to AJ, Ashlea, Janie, Joey, Andrew Repeta, Kayleigh and Bryce Hand, Dyllan, and Noamee Deafenbaugh, and great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer in Grove City on April 21st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will take place the following day, April 22nd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Newcomer, followed by burial at Concord Cemetery, 6244 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
