Richard "Dick" Woods Sr., 77, of Grove City passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Mt. Carmel West. He was born January 24, 1933, in Darbyville, OH, son of the late Leroy and Alice (Eldridge) Woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Patricia "Pat" Woods, and siblings Marie and Roy. Richard is survived by sons, Richard "Rick" (Barb) Woods Jr., Jack Woods, Leroy "Bud" Woods and George "Eddie" (Charlotte) Woods; daughters, Gwendolyn "Sis" (Kirk) Gaines, Rebecca "Becky" (Jerry) Leaper, Patsy (David) Moore, Mary (Curt) Stephens; siblings Larry, Walter, Helen, Betty, Pat, Carol, Mary, and Wanda; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid outdoors man and had a passion for horse racing. His greatest love was his family, he was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could ask for. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 4 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday November 1, 2010 at 1 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
