Richard "Dick" Wysong, age 82, of Grove City, Ohio passed away Sunday October 17, 2021, at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital. Dick was a Navy Veteran. He was born November 22, 1938, in his grandparent's old homeplace in Hamlin, West Virginia.
Dick was active all his life. He loved to sing and play bass guitar. He was an avid mechanic and could always be found working on someone's car. He also loved spending time with family and friends, and making his famous Sunday morning pancakes. He retired from Lennox Industries. He made friends with everyone he met and knew some fact about any topic you spoke to him about. He always tried to share his knowledge about cars with his son Bryan and then would growl like a grizzly when Bryan wasn't interested due to "getting dirty." He also was not shy when he would be asked to get on stage and play with his son Kevin's band – he would get up there and join in.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Wysong, mother Ismay Jewell Wysong, father Ira Bernard Hinkle, granddaughter Kara Nicole Ferguson and great granddaughter Lora Anne Michelle Ferguson. He is survived by his children, Kristina (David) Rousselle of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Bryan (Marion) Wysong and Kevin Wysong both of Grove City, Ohio, his grandchildren, Tara (Joe) Hopkins, Joshua (Jessica) Ferguson, Matthew Wysong, Dream Scarberry, great grandchildren, Kayla (Noah) Tillis, Hannah Robb, Haleigh Fry, Steven Ferguson, Keanna Hicks, Jeremy Ferguson, Kinley Ferguson, Kegan Hicks, Chance Hopkins, and Michael Ferguson with a great great granddaughter Everleigh due in February 2022, as well as extended family Dawn, Kelly, Jimmy and the Carswell Michigan crew along with many friends he met through the years.
